14th Annual Le Tour de Bayou

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Kent Plantation House will be buzzing with energy as the Le Tour de Bayou rolls out across Rapides Parish. This year, there’s a route tailored for every level—choose from rides of 10, 25, 40, 69, or 101 miles, or bring the whole family for a 2-mile ride/walk through beautiful, shaded paths.

Registration is open now, and while it ends online at 11:59 PM (CST) on Thursday, September 18, latecomers can still sign up in person at Kent House or ride day. Packet pick-up is available on Friday, September 19, from 9 AM to 6 PM, with instructions and route maps provided.

Expect Louisiana’s scenic beauty—rolling farmland, towering bayou forests, and historic country roads—to frame your ride. All routes begin and end at the iconic Kent Plantation House (3601 Bayou Rapides Rd, Alexandria) and wind through parts of Kisatchie Forest and neighboring parishes.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist chasing the 101-mile challenge or you just want a peaceful weekend outing with the family, this ride delivers. Plus, registration helps support Kent Plantation House, one of the oldest Creole-style homes in Louisiana, preserving culture and history since 1796.
