Pineville High Receives a $100k Donation from Giles Hyundai
Although faculty and students aren’t receiving brand new 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe’s, there’s something special happening at Pineville High School—thanks to a generous commitment from Giles Hyundai. The dealership has pledged a total of $100,000 in support, spread over the next four years.
Here’s how the donation breaks down:
Corporate Football Sponsorship: $8,000 every year from 2025–2028.
First-Year Boost (2025): $10,000 toward a brand-new digital score table for the school’s main gym.
Flexible Support: The rest of the funds each year will be directed to other school needs, coordinated between Giles Hyundai and Pineville High’s leadership.
This a multi-year investment that’ll strengthen school spirit, enhance student experiences, and ensures that our community has even more to be proud of at Pineville High (the editor is a Tioga Alumni, it pained him to write that).
It’s a reminder of what’s possible when local businesses step up to support education: better facilities, stronger programs, and opportunities that leave a lasting impact on generations of students.
Ethan Henagan & Family Recovery Fund

Right now, a Cenla resident is in dire need of support. Here is how you can help:
Taken directly from Ethan’s family’s GoFundMe page:
“Ethan was in a terrible motorcycle accident and is in the ICU fighting for his life. He’s already been through two major surgeries, but the road ahead is still very long and uncertain.
If you know Ethan, you know how big his heart is for the people he loves. He’s the type who would never ask for help, so I’m asking for him. He would never want his family stuck paying for his care, and I know it would mean everything to him to see them supported. With his parents retired and his sister taking time off work to be by his side, I know finances are going to be on their minds. They deserve to be by his side and able to focus solely on him without worrying about bills piling up. Unfortunately, the world keeps going when one family's world completely stops and stands still. This is one small way we can help and bring something good about during this time.
Every donation will go straight to the Henagan family to cover medical costs, lost wages, and the long recovery ahead. Thank you for giving, sharing, and praying! It all makes a difference and shows Ethan and his family just how loved they are.
I can't wait until he recovers and is able to see every donation, share, and just how many people love him. (& that's anyone who has ever had the pleasure of knowing him!)”

Another way you can help support Ethan and his family is by going to this weekend’s restaurant feature, Li’l Chubby’s, this Sunday. The next section of this newsletter is our feature on them + information for this Sunday’s fundraiser 👇
